Open Closet Facilitator 2 Relief Positions
Open Closet (OC) is an award-winning, drop-in peer social support program for LGBT2Q+ (lesbian, gay, bi, trans*, 2-spirit, queer & questioning) youth who are between the ages of 14-18. The program aims to provide a welcoming, accessible, inclusive and comfortable environment for youth to explore and discuss unique experiences related to sexual orientation and/or gender identity/expression, connect with other youth to develop a sense of community and belonging, and access support and/or referrals to other community supports as needed. Open Closet facilitators do not provide counselling services; however, referrals to counselling services may be provided. Open Closet runs on a weekly basis; it is operated out of Regional HIV/AIDS Connection’s 186 King St. location.
