Workshop - HIV & Substance Use

The Ontario HIV & Substance Use Training Program (OHSUTP) is hosting two workshops in Woodstock and Sarnia for service providers interested in learning more about issues around HIV, Hepatitis C and substance use. This workshop is a good pofessional development opportunity to those working in the fields of substance use, mental health and social services and primary health.

PHA Cafe

PHA Café is a social support group for people living with HIV/AIDS, held on the second Thursday of each month from 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm. Food is provided, and meetings consist of group discussion, films, occasional offsite social events, and guest speakers. This group is a safe space to share ideas and opinions, connect with other people, and have fun.

The group is held in London but is open to all people living with HIV/AIDS in Elgin, Huron, Lambton, Middlesex, Oxford and Perth. Transportation assistance can be arranged.

Regional HIV/AIDS Connection (RHAC) in partnership with London Intercommunity Health Centre’s Options Clinic and the Middlesex London Health Unit is holding Testing Awareness Week, September 26–30, 2011.

This public awareness campaign encourages people to learn about HIV and STI transmission, risk and testing.

Anonymous HIV Testing in Sarnia

Regional HIV/AIDS Connection and the London Intercommunity Health Centre - Options Clinic will be hosting a free, anonymous HIV testing clinic in Sarnia on Friday, April 13th from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm. The Clinic will be held at the North Lambton Community Health Clinic at 429 Exmouth St., Suite 100, Sarnia. Rapid testing is done in a private room, which allows you to get your results in 15-20 minutes. You will receive pre- and post-test information and counselling. No appointments needed - just drop-in!
