HIV/AIDS
is just as much of a threat as ever: one person in Canada is
infected with HIV every two hours and almost one
third of people who are infected do not even know they are HIV
positive.
The
London region ranks third (behind only Toronto and Ottawa) in our
rate of HIV diagnoses and number of AIDS Cases. Despite advances in
drug therapies, AIDS remains a deadly disease. Prevention remains
the only cure.
This
is a reality that our agencies address every single day.
This is the reason
that we continue to Walk for Life.
Thank you again for your continued support!
